What to bring
Clothing for Climate & Ceremony
The climate on the Oaxacan coast from January-March is warm and breezy during the day and comfortable at night (83 F - 72 F. ) It's perfect for enjoying days on the beach or relaxing in the shade in a hammock. Slip on sandals, bathings suits, shorts, skirts, sarongs, sun hat, sun screen and insect repellent for the early evening hours are all recommended.
We will be doing some light/moderate hiking so rugged tennis shoes or all terrain hiking shoes will be helpful. Journal, art supplies, and book to enjoy on your off time or while lying beachside.
Weather permitting, our ceremonies will be held under the stars around a sacred fire. Most guests tend to feel slightly chilly during ceremony. Cozy blankets will be available to keep you warm. It’s a good idea to bring a warm sweater or sweatshirt, sweatpants, slip on shoes and cozy socks.
If there is rain, don’t worry, the ceremony will be moved to the covered yoga patio, which is nice and dry and a lovely location for your journey.
Nearest airport: (PXM) Puerto Escondido International Airport
Puerto Escondido is famous for it’s world class surfing and laid back vibe. Our retreat will be just a five minute stroll away from Punta Zicatela: a quaint, and cozy neighborhood with sandy laned streets leading to the beach. Nearby, Playa Carrizalillo offers opportunities to snorkel and swim in the calm quiet waters.
January-March is whale season so watch the horizons for glimpses of migrating pods of whales and dolphins playing on the horizon too!

Our schedule strikes the balance between mindful activities and personal time for relaxation, contemplation and connecting with nature.
Our ceremonies start on day 2 of the retreat and are held with a day of rest in between. During off days, there are optional day trips to go whale and dolphin watching, discover local beaches, snorkel or simply stroll the beach during the day. At night we will gather for time around the fire for activities like shamanic singing circles or ecstatic dance.
All activities are optional but we encourage you to take advantage of the ones that appeal most to your journey. The last night of our trip includes a celebration dinner and special closing ceremony just for us.
3 Ceremonies: Ceremonies have graduated dosaging beginning with a “classic” dose. Before each journey, the dosages are agreed upon between the ceremony leaders and the participant.
Workshops: Ecstatic dance, singing circle, altar building, working with healing stone workshops and more.
Experiences: Hikes to deserted beaches, whale and dolphin watching, snorkeling and ample time enjoying the beach!
